Western Ghats are degrading, right in front of our eyes. Despite expert reports and pronouncements, biodiversity loss is rampant. Why? What can be done to reverse it (and also biodiversity loss in general)? Discuss.

Biodiversity is the essence of life on Earth, as it stands today. Each species is critical to the existence of this planet, and human life in it. The sad fact is that species across plants and animal kingdoms are under threat, due to man's actions. Despite international agreements and pacts, and desire locally also to improve things, situation on ground is dire. This is not an academic discussion, but an existential one. Speak up and write!
