What Green Revolution gave India was food security and escape from mass famine. What India now needs is scientific agriculture that can give job security and escape from poverty. Discuss.

The miracle that the first green revolution was, pulled India out of mass food insecurity, famine and imports. It helped build a market of grains that became the feeder for the PDS also. But it came with its own drawbacks. With time, India now needs a new approach, a new thinking, to pull millions of farmers and families out of poverty, and into a new world of opportunities. Science and technology can help, as will government policies that are aimed well.
